KW103B – Forensic PCs

The Forensics lab (KW103B) in King William Building has 40 stations. Each station in KW103B has two computers – one computer (all-in-ones purchased in summer 2021) runs the Standard University Installation while the other computer runs Forensics specialist software on an isolated network.

Each station kvm device so you can press a button to direct input to the relevant computer. You can also use the monitor connected to the forensics computer as a second monitor on the all-in-one PC if you are not doing forensics work.

The forensics computers have a wide range of forensic software and tools (Encase, FTK) all connected to a private network for teaching specialist forensic programmes.
