Launch errors

Riverbed is currently available in the King William labs and on the Lab Desktop.

Riverbed Modeler® should be
>launched from the start menu
>under ‘All Programs > Modeler 18.5’
>or type Modeler in the Search programs and files box
>then click on Modeler 18.5.
If you start Riverbed from a different location, you may encounter problems such as licensing errors.

Riverbed is currently available in the King William labs and on the Lab Desktop.

  1. The problem: Riverbed Modeler does not launch.

2. Before launching Riverbed Modeler check the space left on your G: drive. To do this, click on the folder icon located on the taskbar close to the start menu, then on the left-hand pane, select “This PC”, then under the ‘Network Location’ section check your G: drive to see if you are close to your allocated quota.

3. Solution: Within your G: drive, rename the three folders: op_admin, op_models & op_reports (i.e., rename them to op_admin-copy, op_models-copy & op_reports-copy).  Now you can launch Riverbed Modeler®.  With the mentioned folders renamed, Riverbed will now re-create those folders with clean configurations and so Riverbed should open with no errors.

4. If you decide to remove the renamed folders, please ensure that you create a backup first (i.e. to a usb drive or your OneDrive) and then remove the files.
