Muhammad Taimoor Khan from CMS wins the Best Paper Award at Industrial Control System – Cyber Security Research

Taimoor’s current work “On Synthesis of Runtime Security Monitor for IoT Applications” has won the Best Paper Award at ICS-CSR (http://www.ics-csr.com) today.
The event isco-organized by Air Bus and is very well respected in industrial and practical solutions for ICS security. The Global Head of Cyber Defense, Siemens was head of jury for the selection of awards.

C4IIoT will build and demonstrate a novel and unified Industrial IoT cyber security framework

Dr. Georgia Sakellari (Principal investigator), Dr. Georg​e Loukas (co-I), ISEC group , University of Greenwich.

For malicious and anomalous behaviour anticipation, detection, mitigation and end-user informing. Greenwich’s role is to equip the framework with the ability to decide dynamically where to process the security-relevant data it collects in a manner that takes into account the performance, energy and security of the system.

Ala Barzinji awarded the Gourmand International Cookbook Award for bringing Kurdish cuisine on the global food map

Ala has written an award-winning book on Kurdish Cuisine called Traditional Kurdish Food

Postgraduate Researcher from Computing and Mathematical Sciences (CMS), Ala Barzinji, has not just been working on her research on the ”prediction and identification of child obesity using machine learning”, she has been cooking up a storm in her kitchen too! Ala was awarded the prestigious Gourmand International Cookbook Award for her book ”Traditional Kurdish Food: An insight into Kurdish culinary heritage”. In this book she has shared traditional Kurdish recipes and those looking to try new recipes can grab a copy of the book on Amazon:
