The Library is pleased to announce the return of the Social Sciences and Humanities Collection in Taylor and Francis Online. The resource provides full text coverage back to 1997 and up to the current year. This is particularly useful for users of Education Research Complete in EBSCO where embargoes are in place on the accessibility of the most recent articles published within the last 18 months.

New Resource Historical Texts
Historical Texts comprises three collections: Early English Books Online (EEBO), Eighteenth Century Collections Online (ECCO) and British Library 19th Century Collection (BL). Access is via the My learning / Learning support pages in the portal on and off campus.
Key sources
From the first book printed in English by William Caxton to Newton’s Principia Mathematica; various works by Shakespeare; important works from authors such as Voltaire, John Milton, Sir William Blackstone, Captain James Cook; and classics such as A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens, Mansfield Park and Emma by Jane Austen, The Return of the Native by Thomas Hardy and Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein.
Languages
Works cover a range of languages from English to Dutch, French, German, Italian, Latin, Ancient Greek, Spanish and Welsh.

New Resource Drama Online
Drama Online is a fantastic new resource for literature and drama students. It hosts drama titles from Methuen Drama, Arden Shakespeare, and Faber and Faber. Includes full-text access to approximately 1,000 plays and over 100 critical and practical works, and features a number of interactive Play Tools. This video gives you an overview of the resource. New Resource Oxford Competition Law
Oxford Competition Law is a great resource for law and criminology students. It provides an invaluable suite of competition analysis, including key commentaries in EU competition law, fully linked with national case reports and source material. It can be accessed on and off campus via the My learning / Learning support pages in the portal.
IEEE/IET Electronic Library (IEL)
Students, staff and researchers in the School of Computing and Mathematical Sciences and the School of Engineering will be pleased to know that we have a new subscription to the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) full text journals, conference proceedings, and active standards via IEEEXplore.
Subject coverage includes electrical engineering, computer science, and related technologies. There is a backfile to 1872 for select titles as well as INSPEC abstract / citation and bibliographic records.
You can access it on and off campus via the University portal with your computer ID and password.

- In the Search the Libraryportlet select the Online databases and academic journals link
- On the next page the eresources are arranged alphabetically by title
- Select the letter ‘I’ of the alphabet at the top of the list or scroll down and select IEEE/IET Electronic Library (IEL) to be transferred into the resource.
- On the IEEEXplore screen select the Athens / Shibboleth Sign In link from the menu on the left
- Enter Greenwichin the text box and select the search button
- Select either the University of Greenwich – OpenAthens link.

Foreign Broadcast Information Service
The Foreign Broadcast Information Service (FBIS) Daily Report has been the United States’ principal record of political and historical open source intelligence for nearly 70 years. The original mission of the FBIS was to monitor, record, transcribe, and translate intercepted radio broadcasts from foreign governments, official news services, and clandestine broadcasts from occupied territories. FBIS Daily Reports, 1974–1996, constitutes a unique archive of transcripts of foreign broadcasts and news that provides insight into the second half of the 20th century; many of these materials are firsthand reports of events as they occurred.

Education Research Complete
We now have access to EBSCO’s Education Research Complete database. The database provides full text access to over 1,200 journal titles, full text access to over 500 books and monographs and conference papers as well as indexing and abstracts for more than 2,300 journals.

New: BFI InView
We now subscribe to a new resource called BFI InView. It enables you to search over 2,000 non-fiction film and television titles from the 20th Century to the early 21st. The material is organised under six main themes, each with an introductory essay by an academic historian. The resource is beneficial to anyone studying or researching these subject areas:
