Accessing ProQuest Resources Off Campus
The slides below show you how to access ProQuest resources from the Online databases and academic journals link in the portal when you are off campus/outside the university. You will need to follow these steps if connecting from your own laptop/mobile device on campus as well.

- Login again to the portal.

Renting eBooks via Dawsonera
You can rent eBooks needed for your course work or dissertations via Dawsonera in the portal.
Start from the University portal by navigating to Online databases and academic journals from the Search the Library portlet in the My Learning page.
Scroll down the list and select Dawsonera from the A-Z list of e-resources.
Rentals are granted for books NOT OWNED by the library so check LibrarySearch : https://librarysearch.gre.ac.uk/ first before making a rental request.
Science Direct login change
Elsevier has changed the authentication process for Science Direct and Scopus. All users are now required to login via the UK Federation option and select ‘University of Greenwich‘ from a list of institutions.
Select the My Learning link
Select the Online databases and academic journals link in the Search the Library portlet
On the next page select ‘S’ from the alphabet or scroll down the A-Z list and select Science Direct to be transferred to the resource.
You should see your name at the top right of the screen above the Brought to you by: University of Greenwich box. This indicates you are logged in and authenticated.

Students and staff have access to thousands of electronic resources including journal articles, electronic books, reports, conference proceedings, reviews, datasets, maps and audio visual material across a wide range of academic disciplines to support learning, teaching and research in the University.

Note that some resources require you to additionally register a name, email and password as an individual user, the first time you use the resource as a member of the University. This separate registration allows you to use personalised features such as saved searches and creating search alerts, journals alerts and more.
