Turnitin guidance
If you experience any issues such as the system not responding, or difficulty uploading to Turnitin, specifically if the submission screen just “hangs” and doesn’t appear to upload your submission, follow these steps:
1. Upload the file and wait. Leave the file to upload until either successful or the browser reports a Timeout error (408).
2. If a Timeout error occurs, keep trying to upload but also take a screenshot showing the Timeout message, the date and time and the Turnitin URL in the address bar.
3. Report the problem to your Course Leader.
4. Staff should contact Helpdesk (helpdesk@gre.ac.uk) and provide the screenshot, course code, banner number and Turnitin URL.
Turnitin state that there is no technical issue their end, so it is an issue that is caused by increased traffic on the Turnitin servers.
