Martin Compton and Danielle Tran have been assembling and using materials designed to support reflective writing. These materials have been designed with trainee teachers, PGRs and lecturers on the PGCert. HE programme in mind but could be applicable to anyone who needs to write a reflective account of something but has little experience of that style or process. The first resource is an interactive video (the simulated tutorial) and the other is a paper based exercise that uses a writing grid and the ‘reflective compass’ to stimulate the thinking process, focus the reflection and aid the structure of writing.
