The Sound/Image Research Centre has successfully supported artists in receiving Research and Development funding from Arts Council England. Over the years a number of artists have received Developing Your Creative Practice Funding from Arts Council England. The aim of this funding is to support “individual creative and cultural practitioners to focus on their development and take them to the next stage of their practice.”

Arts Council England Funding
The Developing Your Creative Practice Fund has been paused up until April 2026. ACE have said that “We’ve launched new ringfenced R&D funding for individuals, while our Developing Your Creative Practice fund is paused until next April.” They are encouraging artists to apply for National Lottery Project Grants.
The National Lottery Project Grants funding is available while Developing Your Creative Practice is paused until next year.
You can apply for £1,000-£30,000. This opportunity will close on Thursday 26 February 2026. You can apply any time up until this date. Decisions take about 12 weeks. You will find more information here about this funding.
