Copyright and teaching online

I’ve just come across the project blog for DELILA (Developing Educators Learning and Information Literacies for Accreditation), a project funded by JISC and the HEA. This aims to pool information literacy support materials created at the LSE and University of Birmingham, adapting these to become open educational resources (OER). These are then available for the wider community to include in staff development, such as PG Cert programmes.

Browsing through it, one post that caught my eye was by Dr Jane Secker from LSE, announcing that she had made their Moodle course on copyright available under a creative commons licence and accessible on their Moodle site by logging in as a guest (i.e. you will need to click the “Login as a guest” button but will not need a username or password). I have heard Jane speak on the subject of copyright in relation to the internet and teaching; she is authoritative and entertaining on this subject, so expect valuable information.
