Open Lecture [Technology]: Dirk Krolikowski – Steel Mad; The Making of The Leadenhall Building

Dirk will be discussing the making of the structural system of Leadenhall Building. He has been the architect in charge of the design, development and delivery of the unique external structure (The Megaframe) of the Leadenhall Building, a 51-storey office development in the City of London. The unique structural system has been developed in close collaboration with ARUP.

Dirk Krolikowski is an Associate at Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners London, United Kingdom, and Lecturer in Innovative Technology and Design at The Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL. Dirk studied architecture at the RWTH Aachen University Germany and the University of Washington, USA. After working for practices in Germany and the UK he joined Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners in 2005. Dirk is lecturing internationally about the integration of digital tools into the workflow and their transformative potential for the building process.
