A student version of the ArcGIS suite of GIS software is available free for students.  The version of the software on this DVD is ArcGIS Desktop 10.1.  It is the same version as what is running in the University labs.

To obtain your student copy of ArcGIS 10.1 visit the counter in the Mansion lab to get a loan copy of the install DVD and the codes needed.

When you install the DVD ensure you choose the ArcGIS for Desktop [Basic / Single Use]
