Stockwell Street listed as a Biophilic “most nature-inspired space”

The biophilia hypothesis, popularised by Edward O. Wilson in his 1984 book ‘Biophilia’ affirms the idea that there is an inherent bond between mankind and nature and that including nature in our cities is important for the health and wellbeing of people.

The green roofs at Stockwell Street are considered as one of London’s ‘outstanding examples of nature inspired design’ and are included as a key biophilic space in he ‘Biophilic Guide of London’.

The Biophilic Guide lists 22 spaces in London
