There have been a number of exciting publications launched over recent months and here is a round-up of some of the highlights, with links to each publication included.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A new chapter has been published by <strong>Dr Camille Stengel<\/strong> titled<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.routledge.com\/Risk-and-Substance-Use-Framing-Dangerous-People-and-Dangerous-Places\/MacGregor-Thom\/p\/book\/9781138491243\" target=\"_blank\"> &#8216;Creating safe spaces in dangerous places: &#8216;Chicks Day&#8217; for women who inject drugs in Budapest, Hungary<\/a>&#8216;. Published by Routledge, this chapter forms part of an interdisciplinary collection examining the role played by alcohol, tobacco and other drugs in framing certain groups as \u2018dangerous\u2019. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Dr Alexandra Fanghanel<\/strong> has authored a new article called &#8216;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cambridge.org\/core\/search?filters%5BauthorTerms%5D=Alexandra%20Fanghanel&amp;eventCode=SE-AU\" target=\"_blank\">On Being Ugly in Public: The Politics of the Grotesque in Naked Protests<\/a><em>&#8216;<\/em> . Published in <em>Hypatia: A Journal of Feminist Philosophy<\/em>, this article continues Alex\u2019s innovative work around sexualised naked protest in public spaces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Prof Olga Martin-Ortega<\/strong> and the Business, Human Rights and the Environment research group continue their march towards revolutionising the electronics industry in collaboration with the GoodElectronics Network and the Centre for Research on Multinational Corporations. <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/goodelectronics.org\/beyond-corporate-transparency\/\" target=\"_blank\">Their recently published report<\/a> proposes a new approach to the urgent need for disclosure and transparency in the global electronics industry, and you can read more about it <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/goodelectronics.org\/the-right-to-know-in-the-electronics-industry\/\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Dr Melissa Pepper<\/strong> has recently co-authored the article<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/academic.oup.com\/policing\/article-abstract\/doi\/10.1093\/police\/paaa005\/5771274?redirectedFrom=fulltext\" target=\"_blank\"> &#8216;Exploring the Role and Contribution of Police Support Volunteers in an English Constabulary<\/a>&#8216;. Published in <em>Policing: A Journal of&nbsp;Policy and Practice, <\/em>Melissa&#8217;s paper can be accessed <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/academic.oup.com\/policing\/article-abstract\/doi\/10.1093\/police\/paaa005\/5771274?redirectedFrom=fulltext\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Perhaps one of the most topical publications in our update comes from <strong>Dr Maria Kaspersson<\/strong> who has recently contributed a chapter called <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.routledge.com\/Why-We-Kill-Understanding-Violence-Across-Cultures-and-Disciplines\/Loucks-Smith-Holt-Adler\/p\/book\/9780367271664\" target=\"_blank\">&#8216;\u2018You Always Hurt the One You Love\u2019: Homicide in a Domestic Context<\/a><em>&#8216;<\/em> to the edited collection &#8216;Why We Kill: Understanding Violence Across Cultures and Disciplines&#8217;. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Finally, if audio content is what you\u2019re here for then <strong>Dr Louise Hewitt<\/strong> has got you covered.
