| Greenwich, UK: 25th November 2005 The final conference brought together stakeholders and academics from across Europe and beyond. The results of the project were presented by Watertime partner institutions. The project and its results were then discussed by representatives of the steering committee. | Tampere, Finland: 15th to 17th April 2004 A range of presentations on decision-making from stakeholders and experts provided a valuable contribution to Watertime’s understanding of decision-making in practice. Contributions included presentations on a variety of forms of urban water supply management – municipal, private concession, and public-private partnership, as well as on the establishment of a supramunicipal water and sewage company in Finland. | Cordoba, Spain: 1st to 3rd October 2003 Watertime’s Spanish partner, Universidad Complutense de Madrid, presented the Cordoba case study as a test to evaluate the Draft Analytical Framework. A draft version of the document intended to provide the international and European-level context for the 29 case studies, the International Context Report, was discussed. Preparatory discussions were held on the National Context Reports to be prepared for each of the 13 countries to be covered. A range of presentations on decision-making from external experts provided a valuable contribution to the discussion of how to progress WaterTime’s Analytical Framework from Draft status to Final. Contributions included presentations on participatory decision-making in Porto Alegre, Brazil, and the use of participatory budgeting in Cordoba, Spain, as well as presentations from Madrid’s water utility, Canal de Isabel II, and Aguas de Barcelona’s Agbar Foundation. Lengthy discussion involving guest speakers, research partners, and the steering committee provided further useful inputs. Workshop Final Report |

| Greenwich, UK: 10th to 12th April 2003 The workshop saw presentations from a range of stakeholders (including the UK’s water regulator, Ofwat, and the French association of regies, FNCCR), as well as from members of WaterTime’s Steering Committee.A range of presentations on decision-making from external experts provided a valuable contribution to the analytical background papers supporting the future development of WaterTime’s Analytical Framework. Contributions included presentations on participatory decision support systems, on the use of stakeholder analysis to analyze decision-making in the urban water sector, and on the potential role of decision models such as Systemic Grammar Networks in developing a formal decision-making system for WaterTime.
