The forum activity allows students and Tutors to exchange ideas by posting comments as part of a ‘thread’. Files such as images and media maybe included in forum posts. The teacher can choose to rate forum posts and it is also possible to give students permission to rate each other’s posts.

Announcement Forum
We have a unique type of forum which is created from the faulty course template which has the following features.
- The content that you put in this forum will reflect to the announcement block as the latest news.
- Students are subscribed to this forum automatically.
New Forum Features
Forum Inline editing
Similar to when starting a new discussion, the reply box appears inline, allowing the user to respond quickly. If a more detailed reply is needed, for example, needing the editing toolbar or attachment box, clicking Advanced will display the full version.
Star and sort
Further Forum enhancements include the ability to star and sort discussions.
Forums: More control
Teachers or others with permission can add a private reply in a forum and can manually lock discussions.
New forum view
Select and test a new experimental nested discussion view from the forum preferences page.
Forum grading
Assess forum discussions with whole forum grading, using direct or advanced grading.
Forum export and summary report
Export forum discussions and view a detailed summary report of student activity.
