With the recent upgrade to Moodle one of the main and significant differences is getting to the Course Administration settings.
Historically the block was on the left hand side of a standard course page;
In Moodle these settings can be accessed by clicking the Cog icon located in the top right hand side of the course page and for further settings by clicking on More … from the drop down list ;
