Dr Tessa Godfrey, Lecturer in Social Work, and Programme Leader for our MA in Social Work, has a new book chapter coming out this month. The chapter focusses on analysis and dissemination in health and social care research, including practical examples on how student researchers can address analysis and dissemination stages of their research process.
The chapter was co-produced with two of Tessa’s former students and starts by considering analysis in first-person action research, a process of developing practical knowledge in conjunction with others to identify solutions for issues of social concern, with coverage of both reflexive and collaborative approaches to analysis. The chapter goes on to consider dissemination, including why you should share research findings, who you should share them with, and how and when to share them.
The chapter will appear in a new book titled Research in Health and Social Care, which provides students and early career practitioners with key information and skills required for conducting research that is robust and ethical.
