{"id":3903,"date":"2025-09-18T16:34:08","date_gmt":"2025-09-18T15:34:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.gre.ac.uk\/designsupport\/?p=3903"},"modified":"2026-03-25T16:12:07","modified_gmt":"2026-03-25T16:12:07","slug":"stockwell-street-design-studios-2025-2026","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.gre.ac.uk\/designsupport\/2025\/09\/18\/stockwell-street-design-studios-2025-2026\/","title":{"rendered":"Stockwell Street Design Studios 2025\/2026"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Academic Year 2025 \/ 2026&nbsp;<\/strong><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Monday &#8211; Friday : 8AM &#8211; Midnight&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Weekends \/ BH : 9AM &#8211; 9PM&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"635\" height=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.gre.ac.uk\/designsupport\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/20\/2025\/09\/image-635x1024.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3904\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.gre.ac.uk\/designsupport\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/20\/2025\/09\/image-635x1024.png 635w, https:\/\/blogs.gre.ac.uk\/designsupport\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/20\/2025\/09\/image-186x300.png 186w, https:\/\/blogs.gre.ac.uk\/designsupport\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/20\/2025\/09\/image-768x1239.png 768w, https:\/\/blogs.gre.ac.uk\/designsupport\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/20\/2025\/09\/image-952x1536.png 952w, https:\/\/blogs.gre.ac.uk\/designsupport\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/20\/2025\/09\/image-1270x2048.png 1270w, https:\/\/blogs.gre.ac.uk\/designsupport\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/20\/2025\/09\/image-217x350.png 217w, https:\/\/blogs.gre.ac.uk\/designsupport\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/20\/2025\/09\/image-93x150.png 93w, https:\/\/blogs.gre.ac.uk\/designsupport\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/20\/2025\/09\/image-scaled.png 1587w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 635px) 100vw, 635px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Please Note:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The studio <strong>walls \/ tables will be reset to this default layout<\/strong> each weekday morning.&nbsp; Classes have priority for use of walls and furniture \u2013 only take tables and chairs after classes have started and only if they are not being used by those classes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Exercise caution when moving any large walls\/dividers\/tables; check for obstructions, open floor boxes, etc. in the path of moving furniture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>No spray mounting<\/strong> \/ spray painting \/ soldering anywhere in the studio \u2013 this can be done in the workshop; there are dedicated spray booths there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Do not stand on tables or chairs to reach higher places \u2013 use only the kicker stools or step ladders provided.&nbsp; Studio furniture must not be taken away from the first floor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Do not disturb other tutorials<\/strong> \/ classes \/ crits by walking through them or being unduly loud near them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Portfolios and models should be left tidily in the racks<\/strong> \/ shelves \/ cages provided \u2013 with your name attached.&nbsp; Items left lying around will be moved to the portfolio racks or CritPit portfolio shelves.&nbsp; Long-term unclaimed items will be disposed of.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">No small electrical items such as KETTLES, TOASTERS, MICROWAVE OVENS, HEATERS \u2013 these will be confiscated by security.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hot food should NOT to be consumed at the computers or within the computing areas. Smelly food is also NOT acceptable in the studio when it affects those around you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Please report building issues such as <strong>leaks, power problems, suspicious behaviour and other hazards to a member of staff<\/strong> or FM helpdesk<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Student Studio Assistants \u2013 identified by \u201cSUPPORT STAFF\u201d shirts \u2013 are on duty to offer assistance with computing \/ printing \/ studio activities during core hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Stockwell Street Reception security personnel are First Aid trained<\/strong>; in the event that such attention is needed contact \/ inform front desk reception.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Take responsibility for YOUR studio by clearing up after yourselves; the cleaners can\u2019t clean the floor if they can\u2019t see it.&nbsp; There are bins and brooms around the studio \u2013 please use them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Please ensure to maintain a respectful and professional work culture in line with the University of Greenwich\u2019s ethos of Equality, Diversity, and Inclusivity.
