In response to the ongoing pandemic situation we are implementing measures to enable staff and students to utilise the School’s specialist technical resources in a safe, managed way. The details below relate specifically to the specialist facilities and must be read in conjunction with wider University and Campus guidelines detailed on the University Coronavirus Pages
Temporary Opening Times
Monday – Tuesday: 10.30 – 17.30
Wednesday: Closed – Staff member available remotely via email
Thursday – Friday: 10.30 – 17.30
Power for the machines will be switched off during lunch 13.00 – 14.00
General Access
Use of the open benches and analogue machines by appointment only – no ‘walk-ups’. To maintain social distancing the capacity of the space has been limited to 7 students.

Digital Manufacture
Submit all Laser cutting / CNC milling / 3D printing files via email, these will be processed by a staff member and can be collected from the designated collection point when advised – payments must be made via the Estore before collecting your object.

Please allow 1-3 days for your files to be processed. A staff member will confirm the time frame via email once your files have been submitted.
