{"id":599,"date":"2019-09-24T13:08:24","date_gmt":"2019-09-24T12:08:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.gre.ac.uk\/cmssupport\/?page_id=599"},"modified":"2024-09-27T10:08:10","modified_gmt":"2024-09-27T09:08:10","slug":"i-drive","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/blogs.gre.ac.uk\/cmssupport\/application-development\/web-servers\/stuiis-cms-gre-ac-uk\/i-drive\/","title":{"rendered":"I: drive"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">About the I: drive<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Students on some web development modules will be instructed to create web pages,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.gre.ac.uk\/cmssupport\/application-development\/programming\/asp-net\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"49\">asp.net projects<\/a>,&nbsp;etc on their I: drive as part of their tutorials or coursework.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to access your I: drive<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are using Windows at the University, or are using the virtual desktop, then you can access your I: drive by one of the following methods:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Browsing to the S: drive, opening the &#8216;CMS&#8217; folder and running (double clicking on) the &#8216;map-i-drive.exe&#8217; program.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Browsing directly to the server via the network path <strong>\\\\vmp1wstuiis01\\webareas<\/strong> and finding your username in the folder list<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>If you don&#8217;t have an I: drive setup, or have any problems accessing it, please contact\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:cms-support@gre.ac.uk\">cms-support@gre.ac.uk<\/a>\u00a0or visit the support counter outside lab KW116 and a member of the support team will help you. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you email us, please ensure you include your University username, and a screenshot of any error messages you receive when you run the &#8216;map-i-drive.bat&#8217; program.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>About the I: drive Students on some web development modules will be instructed to create web pages,&nbsp;asp.net projects,&nbsp;etc on their I: drive as part of their tutorials or coursework.
