As a student he won numerous awards including the Glasgow School of Art Newberry Medal and the City of Glasgow Silver Medal for Architecture.<\/p>\n<p>After graduating in 1988 he moved to London to work with Jeremy Dixon and Ed Jones.<\/p>\n<p>He then moved to Terry Farrell\u2019s office, where as a design director he worked on schemes in the Middle East, the Far East, the UK and Europe.<\/p>\n<p>Recent projects at Foster + Partners have included The Queen Alia International Airport, Jordan; the\u00a0Ilham Baru Tower, Kuala Lumpur and the\u00a0Mus\u00e9e de la Romanit\u00e9 Narbonne. He has also worked on many of the practice\u2019s projects in London, including: the\u00a0Millennium Bridge, City Hall, the masterplan for\u00a0Trafalgar Square; and\u00a0Albion Riverside.<\/p>\n<p>He is currently working on a variety of projects in London, including the Battersea Power Station Masterplan where he is working alongside Frank Gehry.<\/p>\n<p>He is an ARB registered Architect and is a Fellow of the RIAS.<\/p>\n<p>In 2000, he was a judge of the RIBA Bronze and Silver student medals and for ten years was an RIBA External Examiner at the Bartlett.
