{"id":3454,"date":"2013-10-16T12:19:42","date_gmt":"2013-10-16T11:19:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.gre.ac.uk\/architecture\/?p=3454"},"modified":"2013-10-16T12:19:42","modified_gmt":"2013-10-16T11:19:42","slug":"free-simple-laser-cutting-mondays","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.gre.ac.uk\/architecture\/2013\/10\/16\/free-simple-laser-cutting-mondays\/","title":{"rendered":"Free Simple Laser Cutting Mondays"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>For a trial period we shall be offering free laser cutting on a Monday for small (below 15 minutes) laser cutting jobs \u2013 this does <strong>NOT<\/strong> include cost of material (although materials from the scraps cage are free).<\/p>\n<p>The laser cutter room will be manned by a student operator from 10.00 \u2013 13.00 \/ 14.00 \u2013 16.30.\u00a0 This is a non pre-bookable, walk-in service only (though the operator will maintain a sheet of the day\u2019s slots).<\/p>\n<p>This Monday arrangement requires students to bring their Adobe Illustrator file already prepared; the operator will check the file to see if it will work and to see how long it will take to run &#8211; unsuitable files or jobs that will take over 15 minutes will not be processed. In summary:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Mondays [term time]: 10.00 \u2013 13.00 and 14.00 \u2013 16.30<\/li>\n<li>Maximum lasercut job time 15 minutes<\/li>\n<li>Cutting is free, materials must be purchased<\/li>\n<li>Standard, approved materials only \u2013 nothing experimental<\/li>\n<li>Correctly prepared \/ sized Adobe Illustrator files only<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Laser cut jobs falling outside these conditions will need to be done on a different day.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>For a trial period we shall be offering free laser cutting on a Monday for small (below 15 minutes) laser cutting jobs \u2013 this does NOT include cost of material (although materials from the scraps cage are free).
