We also offer Masters degrees in Advanced Architectural Design and Advanced Landscape and Urbanism, and run a PhD programme led by our AVATAR and Advanced Landscape and Urbanism research groups.<\/p>\n<p>Our programmes are built around excellence in design, technical innovation and the ethical use of resources, they are delivered by an award winning team of experienced academics and design professionals and as a result our graduating students are highly employable and student satisfaction with teaching is one of the highest in the UK at 90%.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Events, Lectures and Conferences<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Department runs an ambitious calendar of lectures, exhibitions and events featuring some of the worlds best Architects and Landscape Architects; we run the weekly \u2018Hawksmoor\u2019 international lectures hosted by Professor Neil Spiller and two annual conferences at the beginning of the year and at Easter as part of the Future Cities research programme. We will also be hosting the Landscape Institute\u2019s Annual Jellicoe Lecture and celebrating 50 years of Landscape Architecture at Greenwich.<\/p>\n<p>For 2014-2015 we will also be running a major International conference to mark the publication of \u2018Educating Architects: How tomorrow\u2019s practitioners will learn today\u2019, edited by Neil Spiller and Nic Clear.<\/p>\n<p>Confirmed speakers for 2014-2015 are: Ben Van Berkel, Hernan Diaz Alonzo, Neil Denari, Will Alsop, Beatrice Colomina, Patrick Schumacher, Michael Sorkin, James Corner, CJ Lim, Roisin Heneghan, Andy Bow (Foster+ Partners), Nigel Coates, Hani Rashid.<\/p>\n<p>Exhibitions for 2014-2015 will feature \u2018Educating Architects\u2019, Flea Folly Architects, Vaughan Oliver, Future Cities 4.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Professional Links<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Department enjoys close links to the London design scene and employs tutors from some of London\u2019s top Architecture and Landscape practices including: AHMM, ALL Design, Arup Associates, David Morley Architects, FFLO, Gustafson Porter, Hopkins Architects, Max Fordhams, and Wilkinson Eyre.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Employability<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Given the professional nature of the Department, employability is at the heart of what we do. One of the Department\u2019s key initiatives are the links between academic research and professional practice through the work of our Project Office.
