In Advanced Sound for Image students will be introduced to diverse sound design approaches with examples across a range of media contexts; including film, expanded cinema, visual music and intermedia practice.
Traditional conceptions of the role of sound in media will be challenged, opening up avenues for students to explore innovative approaches in creative sound design practice.
Sessions will be a mixture of lectures, seminar discussion and practical workshops.
Students will develop and negotiate independent creative / research goals with their tutor, but are expected to demonstrate a critical understanding of the range of skills and activities covered within this course.
