JOHN LYALL

John Lyall is a director of Lyall Bills & Young (formerly John Lyall Architects).

He is the Architect for many award-winning projects such as North Greenwich Jubilee Line Station, And the Jerwood Dance House in Ipswich. He has completed several landmark regeneration schemes in Leeds (Corn Exchange and White Cloth Hall), Cardiff Bay (Visitor Centre and Restaurant Quarter), and Ipswich Waterfront (Cranfields Mill).

Recent work includes four stunning pumping stations in the London Olympic Park, a nursery school in Essex, and the prestigious Goldsmiths Centre in Clerkenwell. The practice is currently developing designs for number of schools and technical colleges , the regeneration of a  Victorian brewery on the Ipswich Docks, a hotel, and a large sewage processing plant on the Thames in South London.

John teaches at the Bartlett School, is external examiner at University of Greenwich , and is a vice chair of Design Council CABE’s Design Review Panel.
